Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau – Lan Ha Bay.

Around 8:30 AM: Our luxurious limousine will collect guests from their hotels in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or Hanoi Opera House (for those who’ve arranged transportation with us). During the journey, our friendly driver will make a brief 10-15 minute stop at a station for guests to stretch their legs and relax.

At 11:30 AM: We’ll arrive at the Scarlet Pearl Cruise Lounge in Halong International Cruise Port, where you’ll receive a warm welcome with a refreshing “welcome drink” and important instructions before boarding the cruise.

12:00 PM: It’s time to board the cruise and kick off our exciting adventure.

By 1:00 PM: Guests are invited to indulge in a splendid lunch at Tahiti Restaurant while we sail through the enchanting Lan Ha Bay. With its numerous islands and islets, the bay provides a captivating backdrop as you enjoy a delightful Western-style meal.

At 3:00 PM: We’ll reach Sang Cave, a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Guests can choose to navigate the cave’s 70-meter water path by kayak or rowing boat, marveling at the mesmerizing karst formations glistening in the sunlight. Afterward, we’ll venture into the serene and emerald Ech Lagoon, a perfect spot for kayaking and swimming. Immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of Lan Ha Bay as you glide through its tranquil waters. The lagoon’s unique shape resembles a giant resting frog, giving it its Vietnamese name, “Ao Ếch.”

By 5:00 PM: We’ll return to the comfort of the cruise, where you can relax and admire the breathtaking sunset from the sundeck.

At 5:30 PM: The magical sunset over Lan Ha Bay unfolds before your eyes, and we offer two options to enhance your experience. Join the Sunset Party in the Sky Bar for a lively atmosphere, or participate in a cooking class led by our talented Chef (depending on the season), where you can learn the secrets of Vietnamese cuisine.

Between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM: Happy Hour begins, offering a fantastic “Buy One Get One Free” promotion on a selection of drinks from our limited menu. As an alternative, you can savor the sunset while cruising on a catamaran, indulging in delicious cocktails (additional charges apply).

At 7:00 PM: Get ready for a memorable fine-dining experience. Our exquisite dinner is served, accompanied by lively cultural exchanges and engaging conversations with our Vietnamese hosts. Enjoy the flavors of our carefully crafted dishes while creating lasting memories with fellow guests.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Viet Hai Village – Lan Ha Bay.

6:30 AM: Start your day fresh with a tranquil Tai Chi session, embracing the magnificent sunrise. Feel free to capture stunning photos or simply soak in the breathtaking scenery. A light breakfast will be served during this time.

Between 6:45 AM and 7:30 AM: Immerse yourself in the refreshing and peaceful beauty of the Bay, as we cruise through its serene waters. Take in the serene ambiance and let the surroundings captivate your senses.

9:00 AM: Embark on an exciting tour to Ba Trái Đào Beach, known for its stunning beauty in Lan Hạ Bay. Discover the pristine shoreline and enjoy the captivating surroundings. Next, we’ll visit Việt Hải Village on Cát Bà Island, where you can choose to explore by bicycle or electric car. Traverse through the enchanting rainforest tunnel and be amazed by the breathtaking scenery. Interact with the welcoming locals, explore their homes, and witness their self-sufficient lifestyle based on farming, fishing, and breeding. Please note that the visit to Việt Hải Village may be subject to cancellation in case of inclement weather.

12:00 PM: Delight in a fresh and delectable lunch served on our luxurious catamaran. Indulge in fishing and swimming in remote areas that offer unparalleled views. This extraordinary picnic experience will surely be a highlight of your day.

2:30 PM: Return to the Scarlet Pearl Cruise and pamper yourself with an expert massage from Akoya Spa. Rejuvenate your senses and let the skilled hands of the therapists melt away any tension.

7:00 PM: Experience a remarkable fine-dining affair as we serve you a sumptuous dinner. Indulge in the carefully crafted culinary delights, savoring each bite. Enjoy the exquisite flavors and relish every moment of this exceptional dining experience.

Day 3: Lan Ha Bay – Tuan Chau – Hanoi.

6:30 AM: Begin a new day in tranquility as we invite you to join a Tai Chi session while marveling at the breathtaking sunrise. Feel free to capture photos of the magnificent scenery or simply immerse yourself in the moment. During this time, a light breakfast will be served, allowing you to savor the peaceful beauty of the Bay.

Between 6:45 AM and 7:30 AM: Delight in the refreshing and serene ambiance of the Bay as we explore Lan Ha Bay on a catamaran. Unlike larger cruises, our catamaran can take you to more remote destinations, unveiling hidden treasures and untouched corners. This exclusive experience offers a unique perspective of the Bay’s natural wonders.

At 9:00 AM: Get ready for check-out as we gradually make our way back to the main cruise.

By 9:30 AM: Before bidding farewell, indulge in a sumptuous buffet brunch served at Tahiti Restaurant. Relish in a variety of mouthwatering dishes that will satisfy your taste buds and prepare you for the day ahead.

Between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM: As we approach the Port, it’s time to conclude our unforgettable cruise journey. Take this opportunity to express gratitude to the dedicated crew and fellow travelers, cherishing the cherished memories and shared experiences from our time together.

Notes

Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Swimming or kayaking excursions may be cancelled due to poor weather.

Meals on board are fusion. Vietnamese, seafood and international. Guest should advise of any special food reference, allergies or dietary requirement at least 1 week prior to the cruise date.

Tour guide

Our tour guides speak English or French. They hold a university degree in tourism and national license as a guide. If you wish to send a tour leader along with any group, he or she can fully rely on the knowledge and experience of our local guides.

Remote treks are always accompanied by a local representative to deal with permits and authorities and manage the porter team. They speak the local dialects, know the cultural traditions and give tips on suggested behavior in fragile ecological areas and tribal communities. For some itineraries, the role of tour leader and representative is combined.

Driver

Our drivers don’t speak English. It’s possible that a few of them might know some basic words, such as telling time, stop, and lunch. If you’re looking for effective communication throughout the journey, we highly recommend booking a tour guide.

Trip routes

Principally, Lotussia Travel requires all the trip associates to know the destinations well by any means of traveling or enquiry to the local suppliers to figure out all the relative details of any trip. For adventure tours such as jungle trekking, mountain hiking, sea kayaking, river rafting or biking, cycling tours, Lotussia Travel will never add any new routes into available schedule until survey or pre-view it.

Accommodation

Lotussia Travel carefully choose all the hotels, guest-houses or home-stays based on service quality, location, and characteristics, doing best to make the accommodations in the remote small places as comfortable as possible. Please bear in mind that hotels in Vietnam might not be in the same standard in other country. Generally hotels in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hoian, Hue…are much better than hotels and guest-houses in mountainous areas.

Meals

Lotussia Travel take dinning as an indispensable experience to clients since it is an important part in Vietnamese culture. Therefore, Lotussia Travel will not intend take clients to the most expensive restaurants but non-touristy local ones which offer delicious, local food, with nice or interesting atmosphere. The restaurants might be simple in the country but LOTUSSIA Travel guarantee is sanitary and cleanliness. Or even on our trek, we encourage our cook offer client food with new tastes from day to day. During adventure itineraries to mountainous or remote areas, there is sometimes no choice for hotel and restaurants. We will try our best to bring you the best taste of local food.

Drinks

As the tap water in Vietnam is undrinkable, Lotussia Travel recommend clients to drink bottled water throughout your trip, or boiled water on treks. Lotussia Travel offers bottle water all the day, and soft drinks like Cola, Sprite or Vietnamese Tea or if possible juice in restaurants (if mentionned in itinerary). This is not automatically included in the packages. In simple restaurant or on camping, Lotussia Travel offers boiled water, instant coffee or juice, wrapped milk (Details are confirmed in bottom of your itinerary).

Transportation

In most destinations of Vietnam, all the roads are well paved though the traffic is quite messed up like in Hanoi, Hai Phong… We use proper vehicles, car, minibus or coach in good condition based on the size of the groups. We use 4WD only on the rough road where the other vehicles could not pass through or based on clients requirement on overland journeys or treks. For cycling itineraries, we usually use our support minibus or minibus with support truck. For sea kayaking, river rafting trips, diving packages we use standard boat as support. Detailed information is provided on our service proposal.

We use drivers who are native or local of each travel destination and maintain good safety records for all trips. Most of our drivers can speak English but a little bit. This is just enough to understand basic words such as “time of departure”, “stop”, “restaurants”, “hotels”…If you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and information about sightseeing sites, booking a tour guide is highly recommended.
