Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau – Lan Ha Bay.

8:00 – 8:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi. Depart for Ha Long City.

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Upon your arrival at Tuan Chau Harbor, you’ll receive a warm welcome and be directed to the waiting room for check-in.

12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Step aboard the Speed Boat that will take you to Le Journey Boutique Cruise. As you board, savor a refreshing welcome drink and have the chance to meet the captain and crew. They will provide a brief introduction to the cruise and important safety guidelines. Take this time to complete the check-in process and get settled in.

01:00 PM – 01:15 PM: Enjoy a delightful Vietnamese seafood and vegetarian lunch served on the cruise. While you relish your meal, soak in the breathtaking views of Halong – Lan Ha Bay and admire the fascinating rock formations that grace the bay.

3:00 PM: It’s time to unwind and explore the beauty of Ba Trai Dao – Tra Bau area and the natural lagoon of Lan Ha Bay. You can choose to relax on the sundeck, soaking up the sun’s rays, or embark on an exciting kayaking adventure to truly immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings.

5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Return to our Cruise and join the Sunset party. Capture unforgettable moments with photos and simply relax as you take in the tranquil atmosphere.

7:00 PM: Indulge in a delectable dinner served at the onboard restaurant. After a satisfying meal, you have the option to participate in the squid fishing program, unwind on the sundeck, or savor a glass of wine at the bar, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the bay.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay.

06:00-07:00: Continue your journey on Le Journey Cruise, passing by the breathtaking karst towers. Enjoy the refreshing morning breeze as you indulge in tea, coffee, and a light breakfast amidst the serene and peaceful surroundings.

08:30: You will be transferred to the day tour cruise to explore the bay further, venturing beyond Lan Ha Bay. Embark on an enchanting journey to discover Viet Hai village, a picturesque and tranquil village with awe-inspiring scenery. Pedal through vast rice fields on a bicycle, taking in the beauty of the landscape. Make a stop to rest and visit an old house constructed with straw, mud, and bamboo, and gain insights into the lives of the local people.

12:00: Return to the day tour cruise, where a delightful lunch awaits you at the restaurant, featuring a variety of delectable dishes.

14:00: The cruise will take you to the pristine beach area of Ba Trai Dao. This secluded gem is considered the most beautiful beach in Lan Ha Bay, boasting mesmerizing white sand and a serene atmosphere with fewer tourists. You are free to swim in the crystal-clear waters or participate in kayaking activities.

16:30: Head back to Le Journey Cruise and witness the magical sunset casting its golden glow over Lan Ha Bay. Immerse yourself in the soothing or vibrant melodies playing in the background while relishing a refreshing cocktail.

19:15: Delight in a delicious dinner at one of the onboard restaurants on Le Journey Cruise, savoring a culinary experience amidst the captivating surroundings.

20:45-00:00: Enjoy the vibrant nightlife of Ha Long Bay from the deck of the cruise. Immerse yourself in the music, sip on a tantalizing cocktail from the bar, sing your heart out with karaoke, or simply unwind in your room while admiring the panoramic views of Ha Long Bay from your balcony. Alternatively, join the sailors for an exciting squid fishing experience.

Day 3: Lan Ha Bay – Tuan Chau – Hanoi.

7:00 AM: Embark on an exciting exploration of the Dark and Light Cave. Whether you choose to kayak or hop on a bamboo boat, immerse yourself in the natural wonders of this enchanting place. Feel the cool, clear blue water as you navigate through the captivating landscape.

9:30 AM: Return to your cozy cabin and take a moment to relax. Double-check your belongings and ensure you have everything before leaving your comfortable retreat.

10:00 AM: It’s time to bid farewell to your private cabin as you check out and enjoy the final leg of your cruise. Delight in a satisfying lunch at the restaurant while the cruise gracefully sails back to the harbor, providing you with last glimpses of the stunning scenery.

11:00 AM: Say goodbye to the cruise and hop aboard a high-speed canoe that will whisk you back to Tuan Chau port. From there, you’ll make your way back to Hanoi, cherishing the unforgettable memories made during your Halong Bay adventure.

Notes

Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Swimming or kayaking excursions may be cancelled due to poor weather.

Meals on board are fusion. Vietnamese, seafood and international. Guest should advise of any special food reference, allergies or dietary requirement at least 1 week prior to the cruise date.

Tour guide

Our tour guides speak English or French. They hold a university degree in tourism and national license as a guide. If you wish to send a tour leader along with any group, he or she can fully rely on the knowledge and experience of our local guides.

Remote treks are always accompanied by a local representative to deal with permits and authorities and manage the porter team. They speak the local dialects, know the cultural traditions and give tips on suggested behavior in fragile ecological areas and tribal communities. For some itineraries, the role of tour leader and representative is combined.

Driver

Our drivers don’t speak English. It’s possible that a few of them might know some basic words, such as telling time, stop, and lunch. If you’re looking for effective communication throughout the journey, we highly recommend booking a tour guide.

Trip routes

Principally, Lotussia Travel requires all the trip associates to know the destinations well by any means of traveling or enquiry to the local suppliers to figure out all the relative details of any trip. For adventure tours such as jungle trekking, mountain hiking, sea kayaking, river rafting or biking, cycling tours, Lotussia Travel will never add any new routes into available schedule until survey or pre-view it.

Accommodation

Lotussia Travel carefully choose all the hotels, guest-houses or home-stays based on service quality, location, and characteristics, doing best to make the accommodations in the remote small places as comfortable as possible. Please bear in mind that hotels in Vietnam might not be in the same standard in other country. Generally hotels in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hoian, Hue…are much better than hotels and guest-houses in mountainous areas.

Meals

Lotussia Travel take dinning as an indispensable experience to clients since it is an important part in Vietnamese culture. Therefore, Lotussia Travel will not intend take clients to the most expensive restaurants but non-touristy local ones which offer delicious, local food, with nice or interesting atmosphere. The restaurants might be simple in the country but LOTUSSIA Travel guarantee is sanitary and cleanliness. Or even on our trek, we encourage our cook offer client food with new tastes from day to day. During adventure itineraries to mountainous or remote areas, there is sometimes no choice for hotel and restaurants. We will try our best to bring you the best taste of local food.

Drinks

As the tap water in Vietnam is undrinkable, Lotussia Travel recommend clients to drink bottled water throughout your trip, or boiled water on treks. Lotussia Travel offers bottle water all the day, and soft drinks like Cola, Sprite or Vietnamese Tea or if possible juice in restaurants (if mentionned in itinerary). This is not automatically included in the packages. In simple restaurant or on camping, Lotussia Travel offers boiled water, instant coffee or juice, wrapped milk (Details are confirmed in bottom of your itinerary).

Transportation

In most destinations of Vietnam, all the roads are well paved though the traffic is quite messed up like in Hanoi, Hai Phong… We use proper vehicles, car, minibus or coach in good condition based on the size of the groups. We use 4WD only on the rough road where the other vehicles could not pass through or based on clients requirement on overland journeys or treks. For cycling itineraries, we usually use our support minibus or minibus with support truck. For sea kayaking, river rafting trips, diving packages we use standard boat as support. Detailed information is provided on our service proposal.

We use drivers who are native or local of each travel destination and maintain good safety records for all trips. Most of our drivers can speak English but a little bit. This is just enough to understand basic words such as “time of departure”, “stop”, “restaurants”, “hotels”…If you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and information about sightseeing sites, booking a tour guide is highly recommended.
