Day-To-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang.

Picked up at your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning, brought to My Dinh Bus station. You take local public bus Hanoi to Ha Giang. The bus trip takes about 6-7 hours. You arrive in Viet Lam around mid-afternoon. Welcome by our local team and transfer to a Tay village. Enjoy an easy walk before having dinner and spending the night at local home (homestay).

Day 2: Ha Giang Trekking.

Waken up by cock-a-doodle-doo at dawn. Peoples often cook their breakfast, make tea…and then go out to the fields to work early. It is good time to see early activities in the village. Breakfast will be served from 7.20 to 08.00 and saying goodbye to our host at 08.30. The trek today starts from our home-stay, as we follow the large village path for half an hour before it winds up the hillsides of the Tay Con Linh mountain range, through palm forest, tea farms and terraced fields, for nearly two hours to village of the Black Zao peoples. Explore this village, visit local homes before lunch break. After lunch, continue hiking along a dirt track sneaking mountains, farms uphill, passing by several small hamlets of the Zao and Nung peoples before processing downhill to Tung Sun hot spring. Enjoy break on the bank of the spring, some may wish to take a bath in the warm mineral water, then walk leisurely along the stream to our homestay, which is set in a house on stilts of the Nung Family.

Day 3: Ha Giang Trekking.

Leaving our home-stay after breakfast we follow the narrow trail winding through hamlets of the Tay and Zao ethnics, we meet peoples doing their everyday works along the way. Some may invite to their homes nearby and hosted us a kind of green tea named Shan Tuyet, the famous local product. And then the trail leads through some timber plantations to a small hamlet of the H’mong after two hours, paying visit to homes, meeting H’mong peoples for a unique discover of culture and living way of this famous hill-tribal peoples before continue trekking up steep trail to the top of Tun Shan Pass which called Heaven Gate by locals. Take a long lunch break here. The trek in the afterwards becomes easier for pretty good trail and mostly downhill on the northwest side of Tay Con Linh which offers great panorama of a marvelous valley with thousands of impressive terraced fields and the imposing Tay Con Linh Peak, the second highest one in Vietnam. In mid-afternoon, we pay visiting to a small village of the La Chi Ethnic whose population is only 10,760 individuals, then process to home-stay. Check in and enjoy free time to relax by the stream of water among perfect nature setting for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Ha Giang – Hanoi.

Breakfast and leave our home-stay at 08.30. We spend five hours today to explore the northwestern side region of Tay Con Linh. Follow the narrow trail running up and down along Tun Shan Valley which is probably among the most beautiful terraced valley to build up the reputation among landscapes photographers for Hoang Su Phi district. We also meet peoples from Nung, Dao and H’mong ethnics living in small villages along the trekking route. End up trekking at about 12.00, picked up for a short transfer to our base for lunch. Afternoon will be highlighted with classic travel for 2 hours to admire the breathtaking scenery of a series of stunning valleys which formed the famous National Heritage Site: Hoang Su Phi Terraced Rice Fields. Arrive Tan Quang at about 16.00, take shower before boarding the bus for road transfer to Ha Noi. Trip end.
