Early departure from Sapa at 07.00 am. Transfer by road 118 km for almost 3 hours, first downhill to Lao Cai City, then uphill through Muong Khuong District onto Cao Son Commune. The road condition is good but having many sharp bends which offers stunning scenery of the beautiful mountainous region along the border to China, especially the terraced rice paddies, tea farms and pine plantations…

Leave Cao Son after lunch for 25 km road trip on a narrow tarmac which winds its way along the Chay River up and down mountains and valleys through the wild and fabulous land; enjoy several photo stops and short walk to visit tribal hamlets before arriving to Coc Ly Bridge.
Transfer 46 km back to Lao Cai City.
