DAY 1: SAIGON -> VINH LONG -> CAN THO
We will come and pick you up at your hotel at noon and embark directly on our journey to the Mekong Delta. We will head towards Vinh Long, and then to a village scattered with temple-looking brick ovens. Upon arrival, we will capture the workers ancestral know-how of brick manufacturing, as well as the geometric forms of the ovens and bricks alignments. There, we will witness the last activities of the day until the sun sets. We’ll then reach Can Tho to spend the evening and night.
DAY 2: CAN THO -> SAIGON
Sunrise on the beautiful Phong Dien floating market with its fruit-filled sampans. We make our way through the market on board one of these boats to be closer to the vendors when the first rays of sun light up the market. We will then go to the Cai Rang market, the largest wholesaler market on the delta. Peasants and farmers come to sell their produce to wholesalers who fill their large barges. We sail between the barges and then embark on one to capture the atmosphere of trading. After breakfast by the Mekong River, we take the road to Ho Chi Minh and expect arriving there at 1 pm. Trip ends.
