Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay.

07:30-08:00: Our team will arrange a convenient pickup for you from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and transport you to Ha Long. Kindly note that this service is exclusively available for guests who have booked the Limousine Bus or shuttle bus.

Your adventure commences with a seamless check-in at L’Azalée Cruises Lounge from 12:00 to 12:30. Board the cruise ship between 12:30 and 12:45, as the captain raises the anchor, marking the beginning of your incredible voyage.

Enjoy a delectable lunch at the onboard restaurant from 12:45 to 14:00 while cruising along the stunning scenery. Take some time to relax and soak in the beauty of Halong Bay from 14:00 to 15:00, immersing yourself in the tranquility and serenity of the surroundings.

Around 14:45, join a guided shore excursion to the renowned Sung Sot Cave, also known as Surprise Cave. Marvel at the awe-inspiring formations and immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the cave. From 16:15 to 17:15, you have the option to visit a Pearl Farm to learn about the fascinating process of pearl cultivation or go kayaking to explore the bay’s hidden gems.

Enhance your culinary skills with a Vietnamese Cooking Class from 18:00 to 18:30, where you’ll discover the secrets of creating traditional Vietnamese dishes. Then, from 19:00 to 21:00, delight your taste buds with a delightful dinner at the restaurant, featuring a delectable array of Vietnamese and international cuisine.

As night falls, experience the thrill of squid fishing (seasonal activity) from 21:00 to 22:00, testing your luck at catching these elusive creatures. Immerse yourself in the magic of Halong Bay, surrounded by its ethereal beauty and tranquility.

Day 2: Halong Bay.

Start your morning with a serene and rejuvenating meditation and Tai Chi session on the upper sundeck, guided by our Tai Chi instructor. Let the peaceful ambiance of the cruise soothe your mind and body. Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast served between 7:00 am and 8:00 am, where you can indulge in a variety of delicious dishes. Let the enchanting melodies of “Good Morning Vietnam” set the perfect mood for the day ahead.

Begin a new day cruise, transitioning to the next phase of your Halong Bay adventure. Embark on a captivating exploration of the East Side of Halong Bay, passing by iconic sights such as Luon Cave, HeadMan Islet, and Yen Ngua Islet, as you make your way towards the picturesque Ho Dong Tien area.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of Dong Tien Cave, surrounded by a romantic lake and stunning islands. Take the opportunity to kayak and discover the area’s breathtaking vistas. As the boat gracefully glides by Trong (Emptiness) Cave and Trinh Nu (Virginity), treat yourself to a delightful onboard lunch, savoring the flavors while being mesmerized by the captivating scenery.

Disembark at Me Cung (Maze) Cave, where you can explore an ancient haven and hike up the mountain for a panoramic view of the bay. Experience the rich history and natural wonders up close. Join our culinary team for an interactive demonstration of two beloved Vietnamese rolls – Pho Cuon and fruit carving. Immerse yourself in the authentic flavors and cultural traditions of Vietnam. Indulge in a delectable dinner served on the main deck in our cozy restaurant, savoring a delightful feast of flavors inspired by the region.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi.

Begin your morning with a revitalizing session of meditation and Tai Chi on the upper sundeck from 6:00 to 8:00. Immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance of Halong Bay, allowing the gentle movements to rejuvenate your mind and body.

Satisfy your appetite with a delightful breakfast served between 7:00 am and 8:00 am. Indulge in a variety of delectable dishes while enjoying the uplifting melodies of “Good Morning Vietnam,” creating a perfect beginning to your day.

Around 8:00, embrace the opportunity to visit Ti Top Island, where you can choose between taking a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters or embarking on an invigorating hike to admire the panoramic views of the bay. The choice is yours to make the most of this enchanting destination.

At 9:30, return to your boat and take a moment to freshen up as the cruise continues its journey northward, guiding you towards the captivating Tuan Chau Island. Between 9:45 and 10:00, kindly complete the cabin check-out process, ensuring that you have gathered all your belongings for a seamless disembarkation.

Notes

Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Swimming or kayaking excursions may be cancelled due to poor weather.

Meals on board are fusion. Vietnamese, seafood and international. Guest should advise of any special food reference, allergies or dietary requirement at least 1 week prior to the cruise date.

Tour guide

Our tour guides speak English or French. They hold a university degree in tourism and national license as a guide. If you wish to send a tour leader along with any group, he or she can fully rely on the knowledge and experience of our local guides.

Remote treks are always accompanied by a local representative to deal with permits and authorities and manage the porter team. They speak the local dialects, know the cultural traditions and give tips on suggested behavior in fragile ecological areas and tribal communities. For some itineraries, the role of tour leader and representative is combined.

Driver

Our drivers don’t speak English. It’s possible that a few of them might know some basic words, such as telling time, stop, and lunch. If you’re looking for effective communication throughout the journey, we highly recommend booking a tour guide.

Trip routes

Principally, Lotussia Travel requires all the trip associates to know the destinations well by any means of traveling or enquiry to the local suppliers to figure out all the relative details of any trip. For adventure tours such as jungle trekking, mountain hiking, sea kayaking, river rafting or biking, cycling tours, Lotussia Travel will never add any new routes into available schedule until survey or pre-view it.

Accommodation

Lotussia Travel carefully choose all the hotels, guest-houses or home-stays based on service quality, location, and characteristics, doing best to make the accommodations in the remote small places as comfortable as possible. Please bear in mind that hotels in Vietnam might not be in the same standard in other country. Generally hotels in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hoian, Hue…are much better than hotels and guest-houses in mountainous areas.

Meals

Lotussia Travel take dinning as an indispensable experience to clients since it is an important part in Vietnamese culture. Therefore, Lotussia Travel will not intend take clients to the most expensive restaurants but non-touristy local ones which offer delicious, local food, with nice or interesting atmosphere. The restaurants might be simple in the country but LOTUSSIA Travel guarantee is sanitary and cleanliness. Or even on our trek, we encourage our cook offer client food with new tastes from day to day. During adventure itineraries to mountainous or remote areas, there is sometimes no choice for hotel and restaurants. We will try our best to bring you the best taste of local food.

Drinks

As the tap water in Vietnam is undrinkable, Lotussia Travel recommend clients to drink bottled water throughout your trip, or boiled water on treks. Lotussia Travel offers bottle water all the day, and soft drinks like Cola, Sprite or Vietnamese Tea or if possible juice in restaurants (if mentionned in itinerary). This is not automatically included in the packages. In simple restaurant or on camping, Lotussia Travel offers boiled water, instant coffee or juice, wrapped milk (Details are confirmed in bottom of your itinerary).

Transportation

In most destinations of Vietnam, all the roads are well paved though the traffic is quite messed up like in Hanoi, Hai Phong… We use proper vehicles, car, minibus or coach in good condition based on the size of the groups. We use 4WD only on the rough road where the other vehicles could not pass through or based on clients requirement on overland journeys or treks. For cycling itineraries, we usually use our support minibus or minibus with support truck. For sea kayaking, river rafting trips, diving packages we use standard boat as support. Detailed information is provided on our service proposal.

We use drivers who are native or local of each travel destination and maintain good safety records for all trips. Most of our drivers can speak English but a little bit. This is just enough to understand basic words such as “time of departure”, “stop”, “restaurants”, “hotels”…If you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and information about sightseeing sites, booking a tour guide is highly recommended.
