Hue 1 Day Tour takes you to the ancient village of Phuoc Tich, situated on river bank of O Lau. In Phuoc Tich village, most of houses were designed with traditional architecture. This is one of the off-the-beaten path places in Hue.
Met up with our local guide, bike at your hotel in Hue. Start cycling from your hotel to the ancient village of Phuoc Tich. Phuoc Tich Ancient Village is an epitome of Vietnam’s peaceful countryside, and famous for the ancient architecture and design of its many old houses and temples. Built in 1470 under the reign of King Le Thanh Tong, the village was recognized as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2009. Phuoc Tich Village spreads along the poetic O Lau River at the border of Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Tri provinces. It has all the features of a typical Vietnamese traditional village. There are river wharfs, temple yards, old pagodas and paths winding among endless tea trees in the village. Temple and domestic structures are dappled with moss.
We will bike through peaceful countryside villages, passing by nice and lush rice paddy fields.
Arrival in Phuoc Tich village we will make a stop at the village’s entrance gate, start walking long village lane to enjoy quiet atmosphere of country side. We also visit ancient houses, a pottery workshop. The visit offers the chance to learn about traditional way of producing pottery items.
After the visit, we have lunch then cycle back to hotel in Hue. Trip ends.
