Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI -> PERFUME PAGODA -> TAM COC

8:00 AM: You will be picked up by our guide, driver at your hotel in Hanoi and brought to the Perfume Pagoda. After about 1.5 hours driving, you will arrive Ben Duc boat harbor. There you have one hour trip on a small boat- rowed by local people on the stream named Yen. You can enjoy the attractive mountain views mirror-image in the crystal water mirror of the stream en route. Getting out of the boat, it takes you about 1 hour to trek up to the main Pagoda – Cave on the top of the highest mountain in the range, the Huong Tich. Taking photo & learn about Vietnam history, Buddhism religion then trekking down by the same route for lunch time in the restaurant at the foot of mountain. The alternative option is taking the cable car for the way up and trekking the way back. After lunch time, you will visit Thien Tru Pagoda then spending one more hour on the boat back to the harbor. Picked up again and brought to Tam Coc. Arrival in Tam Coc around late afternoon, check in hotel. Dinner in town. Overnight in Tam Coc at hotel.

DAY 2: TAM COC -> HOA LU -> HANOI

Breakfast at hotel. Take a two-hour boat trip in either Tam Coc or Thung Nang (rowing boat). This area is rightly often referred to as the “Ha Long Bay on land” due to the similar topography. After the boat trip, you enjoy a short bike ride from Tam Coc to Hoa Lu. Cycling on flat, paved and back roads to experience the peaceful rural scenery. Upon your arrival in Hoa Lu, spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le sanctuaries. These are the two remaining temples of the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu. The first is dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang (also known as Dinh Bo Linh), an Emperor from the Dinh Dynasty. The second commemorates the rulers of the Le Dynasty. Then have lunch at local restaurant before being picked up again by your car and brought back to Hanoi. Arriving back in Hanoi around late afternoon, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Trip ends.
