Trip Description & Day-by-day Itinerary
Da Lat Cycling Day Tour takes you to the backside of Lang Biang Mountain and into an area recently annexed by the newest National Park in Vietnam (Bidoup Nuiba). The trail heads to the best waterfall in Dalat, named ‘Tham Pham’ by the local minority tribes. Swim in the crystal clear water before enjoying
the downhill ride back.
Da Lat Cycling Day Tour starts with a vehicle transfer north to the backside of Langbian Mountain. This 30 minute ride ends right where the road turns to dirt track. From here we saddle up and start riding
We ride over a wooden suspension bridge that crosses the river feeding into Dankia Lake. From here the trail turns to single track and stays that way till the end of the ride. We ride along the river for most of the way and gradually work our way up a series of small hills.
We hit one final steep, long section of trail before we stop for a brief rest. From here it is about 1 kilometer of flat riding before we hit Tham Pham, which is by far the most beautiful waterfall in Dalat. The name of the waterfall translates as “Amazement” in the local minority language, and after seeing it for yourself, you know why. Great for swimming as well.
We have lunch by the side of the waterfall. Lunch consists of fresh veggies and fruits, baguettes with an assortment of toppings, and a French-style pastry to satisfy your sweet tooth. Dalat is known as the vegetable garden of Vietnam and lunch offers you a chance to try some of Dalat’s tasty produce.
After lunch we start heading back, and you get to cruise down a few of those hills you battled up on the way to the waterfall. The trail heads off in a different direction after a couple of kilometers, so the ride back goes mostly through different terrain. We reach the vehicle at the start of the paved road and transfer back to Dalat.
