Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau – Lan Ha Bay.

Embark on a leisure trip with Capella Cruise in Lan Ha Bay, starting with a pick-up service from your hotel in Hanoi at 8:00 – 8:30 am. Upon arrival at Tuan Chau International Port, the warm welcome from Capella Cruise staff awaits you. You’ll then proceed to the waiting lounge to complete the check-in procedure before boarding the cruise.

At 12:15 – 12:45, you’ll transfer to Capella Cruise by a Tender boat, where you’ll be greeted with a delicious lunch served at the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant. As the cruise sets off towards Lan Ha Bay, immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring scenery, surrounded by magnificent limestone formations.

At 13:00, you are invited to have a welcome drink and receive a short briefing from the Cruise Manager and crew about the cruise’s itinerary and safety regulations.

From 15:15 – 17:00, Capella Cruise anchors at Frog Lagoon area, where you can enjoy various outdoor activities and access the ship’s entertainment facilities. Whether you want to take a dip in the Infinity Oasis Pool and Jacuzzi, ride the Inflatable Water Slide, swim in the emerald green waters, or try your hand at Mini-Golf on the top deck, there’s something for everyone.

At 17:30, unwind at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge or Ocean Sky Sundeck and take advantage of the Happy Hour “Buy 1 get 1 free” program while enjoying freshly prepared snacks and your favorite drinks. Watch the sunset fall over Lan Ha Bay, creating a picturesque and unforgettable moment.

As the night sets in, the fun doesn’t stop. You can immerse yourself in music and chill at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge, try karaoke with your friends and family at the Sea Melody Theatre, or play exciting board games at the Cigar & Poker room. Alternatively, you can catch some fresh squid or relax on the balcony of your cabin, watching the nightfall on Halong – Lan Ha Bay.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Viet Hai Village – Lan Ha Bay.

Wake up to a beautiful morning in the bay and join the Tai-chi exercise at the Ocean Sky Sundeck from 6:00-6:15 am. After the exercise, enjoy a light breakfast at the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant from 7:15-8:00 am.

At 8:30 am, board a speed boat for a transfer to Viet Hai pier, where you will get the opportunity to explore the local life of an ancient village. Once you arrive at Viet Hai pier, choose to take a ride by bicycle or electric car to Viet Hai village, which is a 6km ride along a beautiful lagoon and a lovely cave. Spend your time wandering around and interacting with the locals, visit an ancient house, and learn how to make rice wine. You can even refresh yourself with a natural fish massage service!

After that, relax and enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant at 11:30 am. At 2:00 pm, transfer to Ba Trai Dao beach where you can spend time swimming or just lying on a small and pristine beach, watching the clouds drift by.

Return to the cruise at 4:00 pm, and enjoy freshly prepared snacks and your favorite drinks while waiting for sunset on Lan Ha Bay. Take advantage of the Happy Hour “Buy 1 get 1 free” drink program at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge and the Ocean Sky Sundeck.

From 6:00-6:45 pm, there will be a cooking demonstration of traditional Vietnamese dishes, followed by a gourmet dinner menu in delightful fusion cuisine served at Harmony of the Sea Restaurant from 7:00-8:30 pm.

After dinner, immerse yourself in music and chill at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge, try karaoke with your family and friends at Sea Melody Theatre, play exciting board games at the Cigar & Poker room, catch fresh squid, or simply take a rest and watch nightfall on Halong-Lan Ha Bay from the balcony of your cabin.

Day 3: Lan Ha Bay – Tuan Chau – Hanoi.

Start your day on a tranquil note with Tai-chi class on the deck of the Ocean Sky Sundeck, where you can witness the beautiful sunrise. After the class, head to the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant for a light breakfast to kick start your day.

Get ready for an exciting adventure as you board traditional rowing bamboo boats to visit the Dark & Bright cave. As you cruise towards the Bright Cave, you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking views of the angled passageway that opens up to the cave at water level, surrounded by lush trees and steep stone cliffs, leading to a serene round lake.

After the sightseeing, return to Capella cruise to recheck your belongings before checking out at 9:00 am. While cruising towards the port, indulge in a delicious brunch served at the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant.

The journey comes to an end as you arrive back at Tuan Chau International Port by tender boat at 10:30 am, marking the conclusion of a memorable and thrilling trip.

Notes

Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Swimming or kayaking excursions may be cancelled due to poor weather.

Meals on board are fusion. Vietnamese, seafood and international. Guest should advise of any special food reference, allergies or dietary requirement at least 1 week prior to the cruise date.

Tour guide

Our tour guides speak English or French. They hold a university degree in tourism and national license as a guide. If you wish to send a tour leader along with any group, he or she can fully rely on the knowledge and experience of our local guides.

Remote treks are always accompanied by a local representative to deal with permits and authorities and manage the porter team. They speak the local dialects, know the cultural traditions and give tips on suggested behavior in fragile ecological areas and tribal communities. For some itineraries, the role of tour leader and representative is combined.

Driver

Our drivers don’t speak English. It’s possible that a few of them might know some basic words, such as telling time, stop, and lunch. If you’re looking for effective communication throughout the journey, we highly recommend booking a tour guide.

Trip routes

Principally, Lotussia Travel requires all the trip associates to know the destinations well by any means of traveling or enquiry to the local suppliers to figure out all the relative details of any trip. For adventure tours such as jungle trekking, mountain hiking, sea kayaking, river rafting or biking, cycling tours, Lotussia Travel will never add any new routes into available schedule until survey or pre-view it.

Accommodation

Lotussia Travel carefully choose all the hotels, guest-houses or home-stays based on service quality, location, and characteristics, doing best to make the accommodations in the remote small places as comfortable as possible. Please bear in mind that hotels in Vietnam might not be in the same standard in other country. Generally hotels in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hoian, Hue…are much better than hotels and guest-houses in mountainous areas.

Meals

Lotussia Travel take dinning as an indispensable experience to clients since it is an important part in Vietnamese culture. Therefore, Lotussia Travel will not intend take clients to the most expensive restaurants but non-touristy local ones which offer delicious, local food, with nice or interesting atmosphere. The restaurants might be simple in the country but LOTUSSIA Travel guarantee is sanitary and cleanliness. Or even on our trek, we encourage our cook offer client food with new tastes from day to day. During adventure itineraries to mountainous or remote areas, there is sometimes no choice for hotel and restaurants. We will try our best to bring you the best taste of local food.

Drinks

As the tap water in Vietnam is undrinkable, Lotussia Travel recommend clients to drink bottled water throughout your trip, or boiled water on treks. Lotussia Travel offers bottle water all the day, and soft drinks like Cola, Sprite or Vietnamese Tea or if possible juice in restaurants (if mentionned in itinerary). This is not automatically included in the packages. In simple restaurant or on camping, Lotussia Travel offers boiled water, instant coffee or juice, wrapped milk (Details are confirmed in bottom of your itinerary).

Transportation

In most destinations of Vietnam, all the roads are well paved though the traffic is quite messed up like in Hanoi, Hai Phong… We use proper vehicles, car, minibus or coach in good condition based on the size of the groups. We use 4WD only on the rough road where the other vehicles could not pass through or based on clients requirement on overland journeys or treks. For cycling itineraries, we usually use our support minibus or minibus with support truck. For sea kayaking, river rafting trips, diving packages we use standard boat as support. Detailed information is provided on our service proposal.

We use drivers who are native or local of each travel destination and maintain good safety records for all trips. Most of our drivers can speak English but a little bit. This is just enough to understand basic words such as “time of departure”, “stop”, “restaurants”, “hotels”…If you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and information about sightseeing sites, booking a tour guide is highly recommended.
