The Buddha Park Tour Vientiane starts from and ends at your hotel in Vientiane and takes almost a day. Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuan, is a sculpture park located 25 km southeast from Vientiane, Laos in a meadow by the Mekong River. Although it is not a temple (Wat), the park may be referred to as Wat Xieng Khuan, since it contains numerous religious images. The name Xieng Khuan means Spirit City. The park contains over 200 Hindu and Buddhist statues. The socialist government operates Buddha Park as a tourist attraction and public park.
We will pick you up at your hotel and take a drive along the Mekong River flowing between the Laos and Thailand borders.
We will pass the Friendship Bridge, which was built to link the two nations. 25km from the city, we reach Buddha Park. The remainder of the morning will be spent walking around this beautiful park, admiring the huge statues of Hindu and Buddhist gods.
After a picnic lunch, we’ll return to Vientiane.
Upon entering the city, we’ll stop at the Victory Monument. We will also visit That Luang, the biggest Buddha relic stupa in the country, and is proudly referred to as the symbol of Laos.
