Ba Be National Park Tour takes you to Ba Be Lake, listed as one of 20 largest freshwater lakes in the world is situated in Bac Kan province, northern Vietnam. Ba Be, meaning three lakes, was created by the confluence of river tributaries Pe Lam, Pe Lu and Pe Leng after earthquakes tens of millions of years ago. The lakes are part of Ba Be National Park.
DAY 1: HANOI -> BA BE NATIONAL PARK
Early departure from Ha Noi you travel north through Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan to Ba Be National Park. The drive takes approximately 6 hours. You travel through the flatlands of the Red River Delta and up into the mountain areas north of Ha Noi. As we progress north, the scenery becomes more and more picturesque. Lunch is provided en route or in a local house in Ba Be (late lunch). Arriving in Ba Be town by mid afternoon we check in the host family Tay and then stroll around the village or a bit of exploration before sunset. You spend the night in the traditional house on stilts of Tay ethnic people.
DAY 2: BA BE LAKE BOAT TRIP
After breakfast you board a private boat for a cruise on the Ba Be Lake. We can have a swim in crystal clear waters (if weather permits) before having lunch in the local restaurant near the Dau Dang Waterfalls. Following lunch we have the opportunity to work off our feast with a trek to Tay ethnic minority villages. A visit to this small hamlet will enable us to witness how little the lives of the people in these remote areas have changed. Cruise further to Puong Cave and head back to Pac Ngoi village for overnight.
DAY 3: BA BE NATIONAL PARK -> HANOI
After breakfast you bid farewell to your host and drive back to Ha Noi. Arrival back in Hanoi around mid-afternoon you will be dropped off at your hotel. End.
