Hanoi Sapa Off The Beaten Path Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi → Nam Cang Village (-/L/D)
At about 6.30AM you will be picked up by our shuttle bus and brought to Sapa district, Lao Cai province. The road trip takes about 6 hours on the newly-built highway Hanoi-Laocai. Arrive Nam Cang village in the early afternoon, walk through the village, cross a bridge and check into the Nam Cang Riverside Lodge. The rest of the day is spent for visiting the Red Dzao minority village. At the end of the day, you may want to try a special herbal bath, made by handpicked herbs collected by your host in the jungle located just behind the house. The dinner is served at the lodge’s terrace overlooking the river.

Day 2: Trekking Sapa Nam Cang (B/L/D)
Your trek starts with an ascent to a small Blue H’mong village. The Blue H’mong mostly lives in the other side of Hoang Lien Mountain Range. They are found inhabiting in two small villages in the deepest part of Sapa Valley. You then take a descent to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu, having beautiful views of high mountains, waterfalls and deep valley. Lunch is served en route. In the afternoon, you will turn into a small dirt trail and soon be inspired by the marvelous view of the rice valley dotted with bamboo huts, which used by local farmers as overnight lodge in harvesting days. Passing the rice terraces and a river you will walk on a quiet road for a while before arriving back at Nam Cang village.
Grade: Moderate/ 5-6 hours walking.
Day 3: Nam Cang -> Hanoi (B/L/-)
In the morning you take a short walk to the jungle to explore the beautiful surrounding nature. The higher you go, the more you will be inspired by the origin of the nature. On the way back, you will visit one of the small houses of the Red Dao minorities, who are very poor and live just outside the forest. Arrive back at Nam Cang Lodge around noon, in time for lunch. At 14.50, picked up again by your shuttle bus and brought back to Hanoi. Trip ends.
