DAY 1: NHA TRANG -> QUY NHON
Depart from your hotel in Nha Trang. Enjoy a morning drive of 250 km across the picturesque coastal plains to Qui Nhon – the capital of Binh Dinh Province. Quy Nhon was acknowledged as a city as early as 1898. However, the town has been in existence since the 11th century, in the time of the Kingdom of Champa. In the 15th century, it also served as the ruling centre of Emperor Le Thanh Ton. Quy Nhon was also relevant during the Vietnam War. Not only was it a site for intense battle, but it also was an important US military and naval base. Quy Nhon becomes now a new destination for relaxation where romantic seaside resorts with impeccable service can be found.
Upon your arrival, visit the Tay Son Museum is famous for its show of traditional martial arts backed up by battle drums.
Lunch is provided in a local restaurant on the way. Dinner and overnight in Quy Nhon at hotel.
DAY 2: QUY NHON -> NHA TRANG
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning is free at leisure. At noon time, you will visit the “Banh It” Cham tower. The four surviving towers in this group were probably built towards the end of the 11th Century. The main tower and the adjacent repository are at the very summit of a hill overlooking the Highway 1, the town of Binh Dinh, and a river (identified by Tran Ky Phuong as a major arm of the Con River). Two smaller towers are situated at lower levels on the hill, to the south and east of the main tower.
You then travel along the coast line to get back to Nha Trang. Stop en route for lunch. Arrival back in Nha Trang, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Trip ends.
