8.00 AM: You will be met up with Lotussia Travel guide, driver at your hotel in Hanoi. Depart for Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses.
Arriving in Duong Lam village after for about two hours, visit Mong Phu temple, the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys. Have some talks with the locals in their ancient houses where your lunch will be provided.
After lunch, enjoy a short bicycle tour to visit the two temples of Ngo Quyen and Phu Hung.
You firstly cycle to the Mia Pagoda, located in another hamlet in Duong Lam village. The pagoda is built in 15th century containing 287 statues of different sizes. You will visit the pagoda before continue cycling to Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung temples. These are two places are dedicated to Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung, two of Vietnam’s kings, Phung Hung (761-802) and Ngo Quyen (896-944) were born in Duong Lam. Both men led resistance wars against northern invasion and after winning national independence, were crowned kings. After their deaths, the local people built temples in their honour.
Cycle back to Duong Lam village where your vehicle is ready to take you back to Hanoi.
Arriving back in Hanoi at about 17:00, you will be dropped off at your hotel (own arrangements). Trips ends.
