Voi Phuc Temple Festival – Hanoi

The Voi Phuc Temple Festival is a celebration of the Genie Linh Lang, who helped the Vietnamese people defend their nation from foreign invaders. The festival is held on the 9th day of the second lunar month in Ba Dinh, Hanoi.

The Voi Phuc Temple was built in 1605 to honor the Genie, who was a loyal and brave general of the Ly dynasty. The temple is one of the ten historical and cultural relics of Hanoi, and it is located in a beautiful and sacred site at one of the four gates of Thang Long Capital.

The temple stands on a hill surrounded by the Nhi Ha River, and it has a green bamboo forest behind it.
