Keo Pagoda Festival – Thai Binh

The Keo Pagoda Festival is one of the biggest spring festivals in Thai Binh province. It celebrates the Buddhist monk Duong Khong Lo, who made great contributions to the people and the country. He built the Keo Pagoda, which is a masterpiece of ancient architecture and a national treasure.

The Keo Pagoda Festival is held twice a year, on the 4th day of the first lunar month and on the 10th day of the ninth lunar month. The festival includes many religious and traditional rituals and customs, such as offering incense, praying, and releasing lanterns on the river.

The festival also features various cultural activities that reflect the lifestyle and identity of the Red River Delta’s agricultural culture. There are folk games, music, dance, and performances that showcase the skills and talents of the local people.
