Dao Xa Village Festival – Phu Tho

Dao Xa village festival is held on the 9th day of the 7th lunar month, in Dao Xa, Thanh Thuy, Phu Tho, northern Vietnam. The Dao Xa festival is organized to honor Hung Hai Cong and three Royal Highest mandarins who had merit of helping people control floods, Princess Que Hoa.

Dao Xa village is located in the West of Da river. The legend is that, this is the area that the struggle between Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh took place. In the village, there is a temple called Dao Xa village temple. The temple has 7 rooms at the end of 27th century with big poles which are larger than the hand embrace having many beautiful and skillful sculptured forms, worshipping Hoang Hai Cong and three Royal Highest mandarins.

Besides, the village also has Dao Xa pagoda. The Pagoda is located in the outside of the commune having good harmonious Buddhist statues.
