Getting to Tuan Giao

The best way to get to Tuan Giao from Hanoi is to take a flight from Hanoi to Dien Bien Phu city. It takes one hour by plane. Then either rent a car or catch a taxi to get to Tuan Giao district from Dien Bien Phu airport. There are also direct buses from Hanoi to Tuan Giao.

Traveling by road from Hanoi to Tuan Giao is a great way to discover the north west Vietnam. Take the national road #6 Hanoi, Son La to Tuan Giao. You can also reach this area by following the other national road #32 or the new highway from Hanoi to Lai Chau, then to Tuan Giao. The stretch of road goes uphill and downhill alternately with many sharp bends.

The district climate is monsoon tropical in altitude with low temperature and few rain in winter, hot and heavy rain in summer, Vietnam weather. Dry season lasts from October to April of the following year.
