Getting to Tua Chua

The best way to get to Tua Chua from Hanoi is to take a flight from Hanoi to Dien Bien Phu city. It takes one hour by plane. Then either rent a car or catch a taxi to get to Tua Chua district from Dien Bien Phu airport. There are also direct buses from Hanoi to Tua Chua.

Traveling by road from Hanoi to Tua Chua is a great way to discover the north west Vietnam. Take the national road #6 Hanoi, Son La to Tua Chua. You can also reach this area by following the other national road #32 or the new highway from Hanoi to Lai Chau, then to Tua Chua. The stretch of road goes uphill and downhill alternately with many sharp bends.

The district climate is monsoon tropical in altitude with low temperature and few rain in winter, hot and heavy rain in summer, Vietnam weather. Average annual temperature is 21-230C, lowest temperatures occur from December to February of the following year (14-180C), from April to September average temperature is 250C. Dry season lasts from October to April of the following year.
