Thanh Hoa is a province in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam, 153km from Hanoi. This is a relatively large province, which ranks as 5th of area and as 3rd of population among 63 central administrative subdivisions. Its capital and largest city is Thanh Haa City .
Thanh Hoa is located in the middle of North Vietnam and North Central Coast as a transition at many aspects: geology, climate, administrative division and local culture. Thus, these factors show that Thanh Hoa is a province with many particular local habits and customs and cultures.
The most touristy attraction near Thanh Hoa is Bien Sam Son beach which is 16km away. The beach have a lot of sea waves and it’s the place to enjoy swimming. The beach is only crowded in summer from April to September.
Ben En National Park is a good destination for ECO tours. This park is located 46km South West of Thanh Hoa city, 16,000 hectares of mountains and jungles with many kind of wild animals and tropical trees. There is a big lake in the park, covering 4,000 hectares of surface with 21 islands make an amazing landscape.
Another attraction is Cam Luong Fish Spring is more popular for domestic tourists. The stream contains thousands of fish that no one dares catch it. Fish in the stream have red mouth and fins, and brown scales, resembling carp. Please come to this place to play with fish, visit beautiful caves and grottos, watch dancing performances of Muong people and enjoy traditional lam rice and can wine.
