Binh Thuan Vietnam’s Province is located on the South Central coast of Vietnam, sharing its border with Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria Vung Tau, and the East Sea. Binh Thuan is well known for having many beautiful beaches are dotted over 192km. There are also many capes such as La Gan, Mui Nho, Mui Rom, Mui Ne, Ke Ga, creating good seaports as well as fishermen’s shelters. Mui Ne beach is the most popular beach in Binh Thuan.

Much of what is now Binh Thuan Province was part of the Cham principality of Panduranga, which had its political centre in neighboring Ninh Thuan Province. It was the last independent principality after the fall of Vijaya in 1471. Binh Thuan was later incorporated into Vietnam, while Ninh Thuan remained independent longer, until 1832. Binh Tuy, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan were merged in 1976 to form Thuan Hai Province. It was divided again into Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan in 1991, while Binh Tuy remained part of Binh Thuan Province.

Binh Thuan weather

Binh Thuan province lies in the monsoon tropical area with two distinct seasons. The rainy season starts from May to October and the dry season, from November to April following year. The annual average temperature varies between 27oC and the yearly rainfall is 800mm- 1,500mm. The best time to travel to Binh Thuan is the dry season on week days, and avoid to go there at weekend or Vietnamese Public holidays since the place used to be fully packed then with visitors.

What to see

Binh Thuan attracts tourists by lovely landscapes. The mountains lie from west to east and reach beautiful beaches. Famous tourist sites include Phan Thiet, Mui Ne, Doi Duong and Ham Tan. Coming to there, tourists are able to have leisure activities as swimming, fishing, climbing, yachting, golf playing in many beaches and resorts such as Vinh Hao- Tuy Phong, Hon Rom, Novotel Ocean Dunes, Malibu, Palmira resorts… Apart of that, there are many great architectural sites such as Po Sha Nu Tower, Ta Cu Mountain, Hang Pagoda, Cham Royal Family Collection etc.

Binh Thuan has a diversified culture of 30 ethnic groups. The stamp of Sa Huynh and Cham ancient cultures have been preserved include clothes, musical instruments, dances, and singings. The ancient architecture, archaeologic relics, historic vestiges, traditional festivals of Viet, Cham are together for making the special culture of Binh Thuan.
