Doi Luang Chiang Dao is the third highest mountain of Thailand, after Doi Inthanon is the highest, and Doi Paa Hom Pok is no.2.
Doi Luang Chiang Dao is the highest limestone mountain and has unique biodiversity. With more than 1800 species of plants, many of them endemic to the mountain, it is a paradise for botanists. To conquer the summit of Doi Luang Chiang Dao, we provide a three day tour starting from Chiang Mai.
Firstly we will drive to Baan Hua Thung, a village located at the foot of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. You will overnight in a homestay and enjoy the hospitality of a traditional Northern Thai village. Baan Hua Tung is part of the Community Based Tourism Network of Thailand. We will visit the community forest and enjoy northern Thai hospitality. On the second day we will start the climb up the mountain. We will camp just under the summit, a unique experience. Enjoy majestic views and fresh air.
