Explore the Great Mekong River aboard the charming Le Cochinchine. The cruises offer a variety of options on traveling on or along the Mekong River while exploring the lush vegetation of Mekong Delta and sampling local culture. This cruise takes you to places which cannot be reached by road and offers a greater insight and experience than any other way of exploring this fascinating region of the Mekong Delta of Vietnam.

OPTION 1:

Day 01: Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be – Tra On
Early pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to Cai Be.

11:30hrs board LE COCHINCHINE boat and enjoy a welcome drink served on board. Explore the lively Cai Be floating market. Cruise amongst the maze of waterways and visit the handicraft villages and meet with local people. Visit an old farmer's house and sample various tropical fruits. Arrive in Vinh Long island and embark on a walk or bike ride to explore the Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet. Le Cochinchine sets sail to Cantho via Cho Lach and Traon.

Disembark at Cho Lach village for a pleasant walk or bicycle ride on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities. Enroute visit cottage industry, a local farm and sample seasonal fruits.

Cruise to Mang Thit. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the river. Leisurely cruise up the Mekong River while enyoying the beautiful scenery and aperitifs. A wonderful day with picturesque ferry crossings over Mekong River branches ends with dinner and overnight on board in Traon.

Day 02: Tra On - Can Tho
Rise by the sound of the river and Mekong Delta coming to life for another lovely day. After breakfast, cruise along the canals and visit a village on the banks of Co Chien with an opportunity to appreciate the way of life of the local inhabitants and their hospitality. Leisurely cruise up the Bassac River (Hau Giang River) while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Arriving Cantho, we explore the Cai Rang market, one of the most bustling floating markets in the Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats laden with fruits, barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. Boat through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards, ship building yards, and local markets in full swing. At around 11:00 hrs check out and disembark. End of services.

Note: transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City can be arranged at surcharge.

OPTION 2:

Day 01: Can Tho – Cai Be
11:00 hrs board LE COCHINCHINE boat at NINHKIEU jetty in Can Tho. A small boat takes you to explore the CaiRang market, one of the most bustling floating markets in the Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. A small boat will take you through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards. Return to Le Cochinine, then cruise to Caibe via Tra On. Leisurely cruise down the Mekong while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Lunch will be served on board. After lunch, disembark for a pleasant walk on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people's activities and sample various tropical fruits in Lach village. Then return to the boat and cruise to Caibe. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the Co Chien River. Dinner and overnight on board in Caibe.

Day 02: Cai Be
Enjoy breakfast on board over the splendid sunrise on the Mekong. Explore the lively Cai Be floating market in early morning. Walk amongst the lush vegetation to visit handicraft villages and meet with local people. Visit an old farm house and sample various tropical fruits. Take a small boat trip through rivulets of Tan Phong islands. A pleasant walk or cycle on the footpaths of the village to discover tropical fruit orchards. At around 11:00 hrs disembark in Caibe and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
