Duong Lam Ancient Village Bicycle Day Tour

Duong Lam is a small village that has somehow managed to escape the winds of change sweeping through the country. The journey to Duong Lam village will bing you lots of knowledge of Vietnam’s culture and  traditions. The trip also offers the opportunity to explore architecture of ancient houses while wandering along its narrow alleyways.

7:00am: You will be met up with Lotussia Travel team at your hotel in Hanoi (please advise us your hotel name upon your confirmation).

Depart for Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. Arrive in Duong Lam village after for about two hours, visit Mong Phu temple, the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys. Have some talks with the locals in their ancient houses where your lunch will be provided.

After lunch, enjoy a short bicycle tour to visit the two temples. We first cycle to the Mia Pagoda (other hamlet in Duong Lam village). The pagoda is built in 15th century containing 287 statues of different sizes. We will visit the pagoda before continue cycling to Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung temples. These are two places are dedicated to Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung, the two National Heroes of Vietnam. Cycle back to Duong Lam village where your vehicle is ready to take you back to Hanoi.

Arrive back at hotel around late afternoon. Trip ends.
