Day 01: Arrival in Phnom Penh (Cambodia).
You will be met at Phnom Penh airport or boat pier by Lotussia local guide and driver then transferred to your hotel to check in. Then, if time permits we will visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum and Central Market. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 02: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap.
After breakfast, we will driver you to Phnom Penh airport or boat pier to catch your onward flight to Siem Reap City. Siem Reap Town is small gateway to ruins of Angkor, it is 250 northwest of Phnom Penh and 15 km north of Tonle Sap. Arrival in the city of World Heritage, Angkor Wat! Upon your arrival in Siem Reap airport (or boat pier), you will be picked up by other Lotussia local guide and driver then transferred to your hotel for check in. In the afternoon, free leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 03: Angkor History Park.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the famous old palace, Angkor Thom within Angkor Thom are Bayon – Baphoun,, Terrace of Elephant, Phemean Akas, Terrace of Leper king. Afterwards visit Taprom Temple. Back to Siem Reap town and have lunch at local restaurant. Visit the amazing Angkor Wat . Watch sunset from the top of Bakheng hill. Dinner at local restaurant with buffet and traditional Apsara Show. O/N in Siem Reap.
Day 04: Kbal Spean - Bantey Srei.
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to visit Kbal Spean, which is located at 49km from Siem Reap town. The name itself literally means "The head of the river". This is one of the rivers in 1000 lingas, made up of unique lingas and lingas stands into the riverbed of the Siem Reap river. It was believed that the lingas spiritually "fertilized” the waters that fed the eastern baray and irrigated the rice fields below. Your lunch will be provided at Kbal Spean. After lunch, visit Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre. Back to Siem Reap. In the evening, have dinner at local restaurant with buffet and traditional Apsara Show. O/N in Siem Reap.
Day 05: Great Lake Tonle Sap - Luang Prabang.
In 1-2 hours cruise you will experience visiting the Fishing Villa where fisherman are living on the water, you will see how different their lives with other Fishing Villa around the world. Back to Siem Reap Town, visit Chantier Ecole-Artisan d’angkor, the place is in the Ministry of Education that was constructed in 1992, this place renowned woodworking, stone carving and polychrome training center and workshops. Free tour of different classes and workshops offer a glimpse into the unique skills training program, teaching young artists about the techniques and styles of classic Cambodian Artistry. According to your flight, we will drive you to the airport for onward flight off to Luang Prabang.
Upon your arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, you will be met by Lotussia local guide and driver and transferred to your hotel in town. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 06: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave.
After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panaromic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the small village of Ban Xanghai, where the local rice wine is distilled. On our way back, we pass the local villages at Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan continue to see the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun, which once belongs to royal family patronage and near by Sackarine Caves. We cross to city and take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 07: Luang Prabang – Khouangsi Waterfalls.
An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession. From there you will visit the morning Phosi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turqoise pools or walk along the forest trails. After returning to Luang Prabang by late afternoon, we continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for its silk weavings and for its Saa (jute) Papermaking. We return to the city by late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 08. Luang Prabang – Lao Spirit Adventure (Elephant + rafting).
This is a full day trip combining a rafting tour out of town with some sightseeing and an exciting elephant ride to/from Tad Sae Waterfall (or alternative route in dry season). After pick up from your Hotel (8:30-9:00 a.m) we proceed to the Adventure and Elephant camp located 15 km out of town in the middle of unspoiled, natural green surroundings. After crossing the small river you are introduced to our Asian Elephants and venture on a 1hr - 1hr 30 mins enchanting journey through forests, plantations and fields. This activity programe provides you with a breathtaking and unique experience as you make your way through forests and along the Nam Khan River up to the waterfalls of Tad Sae. (In the dry season we ride a village trail) After visiting the waterfall, lunch is served before a relaxing 30 minute rafting tour along the river back to the resort. The evening is free at your leisure. Overnight at Lao Spirit Resort.
Day 09: Lao Spirit Resort – Luang Prabang - Vientiane.
The National Museum (close Tuesday) at the former Royal Palace, displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. The National Museum and the Central Market are not to be missed. We visit these sights in the morning before catching our flight back to Vientiane. Upon arrival in Vientiane, we see the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop enroute to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. We watch the sunset by Mekong Riverside and spend the evening here absorbing the city’s nightlife. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 10. Vientiane – Departure.
After breakfast, we visit the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong (if time permits). The tour ends after your transfer to Wattay airport for departure. End tour.
